Martial arts and veterans tend to share a common ground; a number of big names in MMA are ex-military, including Brian Stan, Martin Stapleton, Paul Daley, Randy Couture and of course Tim Kennedy, who’s still serving his country. It doesn’t just stop with professionals though – a lot of veterans find that the discipline, comradery and physical challenge of martial arts training helps them with transitioning from military to civilian life.
