The Fight Calendar: Upcoming MMA Events for the Week

The Fight Calendar. Upcoming Events

We’re all counting down the days until we get to see some more action and it can be a challenge to keep track of what MMA events are coming up. We’ve taken a look at the calendars for some of the major MMA organisations for this week and put together this weeks upcoming MMA events for you, so you can plan out what fight cards will fill your week’s viewing!

Upcoming UFC events

With Rozenstruik vs Gane in the rear view mirror we’re now looking to the UFC’s next event – and it’s massive. UFC 259’s main card gives us not one, not two, but three title fights, as well as a couple of solid matchups to start us off. We’re keen to see the outcome of all three title bouts, and will be cheering on our favourites – like Megan Anderson, who we’ve previously interviewed. However, the big question for us is how Stylebender looks at light heavyweight, so that’s definitely our feature fight for this card.

Full Card:

Jan Błachowicz vs. Israel Adesanya

Amanda Nunes vs. Megan Anderson

Petr Yan vs. Aljamain Sterling

Islam Makhachev vs. Drew Dober

Thiago Santos vs. Aleksandar Rakić

Upcoming ONE Championship events

Next on the list of upcoming MMA events is the follow up to ONE’s Fists of Fury, Fists of Fury II, taking place on the 5th of March. This card isn’t quite as stacked as the first one, but still promises to bring some good heavyweight action to the party with the main and co-main both featuring the big guys. We’re most looking forward to that main event with Aliakbari making his promotional debut and starting his quest to challenge Brandon Vera for the heavyweight strap.

Full Card:

Amir Aliakbari vs. Kang Ji Won

Alexandre Machado vs. Anatoly Malykhin

Ryogo Takahashi vs. Tang Kai

Yoshiki Nakahara vs. Ruslan Emilbek Uulu

Han Zi Hao vs. Adam Noi (Muay Thai)

Mark Fairtex Abelardo vs. Emilio Urrutia

There’s some news on Bellator’s first event of 2021, Pitbull vs Sanchez II, with the main event fights now announced. It’s not happening until the second of April, so we’ll publish the full card nearer the event, but the match ups look like they’ve got some real promise.

Upcoming Invicta FC events

Nothing new from Invicta, but we’ll keep checking in and let you know if they announce any new events.
