The Fight Calendar: Upcoming Events for the Week (14th December)

The Fight Calendar. Upcoming MMA Events

We’re all counting down the days until we get to see some more action and it can be a challenge to keep track of what events are coming up. We’ve taken a look at the calendars for some of the major organisations for this week and put them together for you, so you can plan out your weeks viewing!

This weekend we have a UFC Fight Night Card, headlined by a match between Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson and Geoff ‘Handz of Steel’ Neal. Personally our favourite match up is the main event on this one; can the perennial contender Wonderboy, whose been in and out of the win column recently, use that insanely technical striking ability to get the win over the surging knockout artist that is Goeff Neal?

The full main card is as follows:

  • Stephen Thompson vs Geoff Neal
  • José Aldo vs Marlon Vera
  • Michel Pereira vs Khaos Williams
  • Marlon Moraes vs Rob Font
  • Marcin Tybura vs Greg Hardy
  • Anthony Pettis vs Alex Morono

One Championship

Friday the 18th sees One Championship: Collision Course take center stage. Headlined by two title fights Collision Course sees Andrei Stoica challenge the champion Roman Kryklia for the Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Title, which Kryklia has held since its creation a little over a year ago. The co-main has Rodlek PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym taking on one of the best to ever do it, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, for the Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title. Both of these fights should be fireworks, and top of a list of exciting MMA match ups, but we’re definitely most excited for the co-main match up and seeing how Rodlek performs against Nong-O.

The full card looks like this:

  • Roman Kryklia vs Andrei Stoica (Light Heavyweight Kickboxing Title Fight)
  • Nong-O Gaiyanghadao vs Rodlek PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym (Bantamweight Muay Thai Title Fight)
  • Marat Gafurov vs Lowen Tynanes
  • Tatsumitsu Wada vs Yodkaikaew Fairtex
  • Yusup Saadulaev vs Troy Worthen
  • Xie Wei vs Chan Rothana

Bellator don’t have anything planned for this week, their next event is scheduled for the 1st of January but they’ve not announced the match up yet.

Invicta FC

Invicta FC also don’t have any events planned for now – their last card was on the 20th of November, but following their rough schedule we can expect and event to get pencilled in for early 2021.
